 Picks up anything, By This review is from: Snap-on 93050 Wet/Dry Vacuum - 4 Gallon (Automotive) I use mine all the time in the basement to clean up my messes. Building a model railroad results in large amounts of sawdust and scrap material on the floor. This thing gulps it down, whether it's just a little dust or a heap of sawdust. The hose can be attached to either end of the vac - the front (near the switch) is for vacuuming, the back is to use it as a blower - handy to blow the dust off something.
